Audio Ping

How can I create an audio-Ping with DXL, in this case announcing the end of a script without using an ack dialog?

Hmm for example using the commandline:

system "cmd.exe /C sndrec32.exe /play /close /embedding \"%WINDIR%\\Media\\Windows XP-Benachrichtigung.wav\""

You could also pop up a nice flash screen (using a floating dialog), that will remove itself from the screen after 2 seconds, for the people that have their sounds disabled:

DB x = create("", styleCentered | styleNoBorder | styleFloating)

int cnt = 0;
void removeMe(DBE neverUseThis) { if (++cnt == 2) hide x }
void closeDB (DB x) { hide x }

label (x, "The DXL has finished!")
timer (x, 2.0, removeMe, "RemoveTimer")

close (x, false, closeDB)

show x

Feel free to replace the label by something more fancy, wrap this in a nice splashScreen function and repost the code ... :-)

Regards, Mathias
